Latvija500 challenge – a beautiful medal, target and some extra motivation to keep you moving
We need a little push to get us moving. Some extra motivation and a target. We know that it’s good to walk and run but sometimes those steps are difficult to come. Especially the first steps.
Latvija500, a challenge by Marathon100 is just this – a little push with some extra motivation and a target.
The challenge Latvija500 means that you have to walk or run 500 km between 1st of June and 31st of October. This is 100 km a month in average. All the kilometres you either walk or run do count. Anybody can walk 25 km a week!
A beautiful Latvian-shaped medal awaits at the end of challenge. The medal is huge, 110 mm in diameter and its design is unique. We have used the symbols that are close to our heart, from historic buildings to flowers and wildlife. You can be sure, the medal stands out from the rest!
In 2020 we held a similar challenge in Estonia, the challenge was chosen the best virtual event of the year and the medal received an award as the most beautiful running medal.
Taking part in the challenge is easy, first you have to create a Marathon100 user account, then select Latvija500 as your challenge and then start moving. You can easily add kilometers manually (once a week or once a month) or upload files from your sports watch.
First 500 participants that achieve the target will receive their medal starting from July, all the other participants who reach 500 km will get their medals at the end of challenge, in October.
The participation fee is 19,95 (until 31st of May) plus 3 euros shipping fee to Latvia (or anywhere else in Europe), and 22,95 plus 3 euros from 1st of June.
